My wife Janet and I were constant companions,
lovers, confidants, partners, and best friends since 1978. In September of
2013 we celebrated 30 years as
husband and wife. I have known some truly fine people in my
life, but no one like her. She was my one true love. An extraordinary
and beautiful human being. Her wisdom, kindness, patience,
generosity and unreserved love
have had a profound influence on me and I am a much better person for having
known her, loved her, and shared so much of my life with her.
As she wished, she passed away here in our home with me at her
bedside after a short fight with cancer. Her loss has broken my
heart, but she would expect me to pick myself up and carry on with
the remainder of my life until the passing of time brings us
together again. The highest tribute I can pay her is to continue to
live out my life in such a way that she would remain proud of me and
I intend to do exactly that. Janet, you are forever in my
heart. I will cherish and honor your memory for the rest of my life.
― Rest now in peace, Sweetheart
